Time and Space: Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces astronomy-inspired SIHH 2015 collection in partnership with Chatham Luxury

Since the beginning of time, mankind has gazed up at the night sky and wondered what lay beyond. Time and astronomy are old friends. Swiss watchmakers Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrate this affair with its Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) 2015 collection, paying tribute to the mysterious magnetism of astronomy.

In Sri Lanka, the brand partnered with Chatham Luxury to unveil the collection at an intimate gathering at Cape Weligama Resort. Chatham is the sole agent for Jaeger-LeCoultre in Sri Lanka. The event welcomed a few of Chatham’s patrons to view the collection presented by Marc de Panafieu, Jaeger-LeCoultre Brand Director, Middle East and Indian Subcontinent, accompanied by Jaeger-LeCoultre Country Manager Dinesh Aswani along with astronomer Stefan Zietara.

Since Antoine LeCoultre first founded his workshop in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has become renowned for its inventiveness & ingenuity - creating classic timepieces such as the Millinometre, which paved the way for the precise manufacture of watch parts, the trendsetting keyless watch, and for introducing over a thousand calibres including the world’s smallest calibre alongside some of the world’s most complex wristwatches.

Drawing inspiration from the ponderous movement of the stars and planets as they make their way through the universe and their role in marking time, the SIHH 2015 collection pays homage to astronomy. Utilising stones such as meteorite stone and lapis lazuli, these timepieces have been designed for those who value time, and seek to celebrate its momentary and fleeting nature.

The exclusive event at the Cape Weligama resort showcased pieces that stunned. One such piece was the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à luantième Perpétuel, a timepiece set in baguette-cut diamonds and mother of pearl with perpetual calendar indications. The Rendez-Vous Moon is equipped with a wide moon phase indication accented by a mother-of-pearl moon display; Duomètre Quantième Lunaire is an interpretation of the revolutionary ‘Dual-Wing’ concept, featuring two independent power reserves.

The showcase was complemented by a presentation on Horology and Astronomy by Stefan Zietara, which was preceded by a gourmet dinner for the invitees. “Our customer base in Sri Lanka is gradually expanding,” noted Marc de Panafieu, on his first official visit to Sri Lanka. “It seemed a natural move to introduce the SIHH 2015 collection almost immediately off the runway to the Chatham store.”

The stylish, elegant gathering at the resort had the opportunity to view each piece at their leisure, and mingle with the Jaeger-LeCoultre representatives. “Each piece is visually stunning,” said Siddarth Hirdaramani, Director of Chatham Luxury. “We’re very happy to be able to introduce the collection to our clients and look forward to hosting more evenings like this in time to come.”

Chopard previews exclusive collection of watches and jewellery at Chatham Luxury

Swiss luxury brand Chopard announced a two-week previewing of an exclusive collection of limited edition watches and jewellery at Chatham Luxury, its authorised retailer in Sri Lanka. The collection featuring a selection of top of the line pieces, several of which are only available on special order, was introduced by Mr. Xavier Lasserre, International Sales Manager, Chopard & Cie.

Taking centre stage at this special viewing is a selection from the Happy Diamonds Icons collection, with its timeless, yet daringly modern and playfully independent style, the Happy Diamonds watches and jewellery are true emblems of Chopard design. This will also be the first time that the Chopard Jewellery collection will be available and on display in the country. Chopard’s Happy Sport range of watches, renowned for its daring marriage of precious diamonds with stainless steel, is an iconic extension of the Happy Diamonds design. Many high-end Happy Sport watches are also included in the preview.

Several watches from the exclusive Heure du Diamant collection, which perfectly combine Chopard’s Art Deco inspired style with creative director Caroline Scheufele’s admiration for diamonds, form a glittering addition to the special exhibit, while the refined yet majestic Imperiale watches, with their mix of mother of pearl, silver, green and chocolate tones, complete the collection.

“We feel that Sri Lanka is ready for the kind of exclusivity and design promise that Chopard commands,” said Siddarth Hirdaramani, Director of Chatham Luxury Watches. “Our customers will be able to view and purchase some exceptional pieces from the Happy Sports range, and it is also an opportunity for us to showcase the craftsmanship and expertise that distinguishes Swiss watchmaking.”

Chatham Luxury Watches is a venture by the Hirdaramani Group, a top apparel manufacturer, in collaboration with Sifani Jewellers, a company that has garnered international acclaim with over half a century of experience and tradition in fine jewellery making. Chatham is the first multi-brand watch store in Sri Lanka and the authorised retailer for a select group of the world’s finest luxury brand names. Each of the carefully curated brands at Chatham claim a 100 plus year legacy as watchmakers crafting magnificent Swiss timepieces. In addition to the collection carried in-store, customers may order any watch from the brands represented at the Chatham Boutique.

Chopard’s heritage is steeped in precision and artistry. In 1860 Louis-Ulysse Chopard established his workshop in the small village of Sonvillier. Word of the talented young watchmaker’s skill travelled rapidly across Europe and Chopard watches acquired a reputation for their precision, reliability and indomitable style. It was in 1963 that German watchmaking dynasty heir Karl Scheufele took over the company, rapidly transforming Chopard into a technologically driven watch brand known for its distinctive style ethic and the finesse of its craftsmen. Today, Chopard is one of the most easily recognised luxury brands with retailers around the world.

Chatham’s flagship store at Galle Face Court Colombo is tailored for a luxury shopping experience. The watches will be on display there for a limited time period.

Omega Celebrates The De Ville Butterfly In Seoul With Nicole Kidman

OMEGA celebrated its De Ville Butterfly wristwatches with its brand ambassador Nicole Kidman at a high-profile event on Thursday, 2 October. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul was elaborately decorated for the launch where the Oscar-winning actress was joined by Swiss singer/songwriter Bastian Baker and OMEGA president Stephen Urquhart.

The cultural centre in South Koreawas decoratedon an impressive floral and butterfly theme.A passage leading into the building was flanked by a stunning display of more than 21,000 white flowers, each on an individual mount and illuminated from within by a tiny light. The flowers were to be donated to the local museum following the event.

The event was attended by Chatham Luxury, distributors of the Omega Brand in Sri Lanka. During a conversation withOMEGA president Stephen Urquhart at the press briefing, they discussed his thoughts on the potential in the South Asian market. “OMEGA has invested heavily in South Asian markets, however the key difference between South Asia and a market like China is the retail infrastructure, the consumers are definitely there, but there is still a need for more development in terms of infrastructure. Nevertheless we are certain that in South Asia there is tremendous potential,” Urquhart said.

He proceeded to state that what OMEGA, who have a presence in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, have understood the unique psychographics of the consumers themselves and the brand’s strategies need to be adapted to fit the consumers in the region and their own priorities. “Down the road though I am sure the whole sub-continent will erupt one day into a big market,” he added.

Urquhart introduced Nicole Kidman, who has been an OMEGA brand ambassador since 2005. The actress was warmly greeted by the audience when she took to the stage to chat about her relationship with OMEGA, her reaction to the De Ville Butterfly and her visit to Seoul. After an elaborate dinner, the evening's master of ceremonies Mark Juh announced a surprise guest, singer/songwriter Bastian Baker. The Swiss pop star, who is one of OMEGA's newest brand ambassadors, performed an intimate concert, dedicating the final performance of the evening, "I'd Sing For You", to Nicole Kidman.

Graced with a delicate butterfly design, the new OMEGA De Ville Prestige “Butterfly” is inspired by the beauty found in nature and is an enchanting addition to the Prestige collection. The exquisite butterfly motif on the dial is inspired by Asian popular culture, which associates the delicate being with love and longevity.

The choice of an Asian country as the host for such a high profile event, along with the Asian inspired themes embodied in the watch is not doubt an indication of OMEGA’s long term commitment to and strong presence in this region.

Nicole Kidman And Omega Celebrate The De Ville Butterfly In Seoul

OMEGA celebrated its De Ville Butterfly wristwatches with its brand ambassador Nicole Kidman at a high-profile event at the elaborately decorated Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on Thursday, 2 October. The Oscar-winning actress was joined by Swiss singer/songwriter Bastian Baker and OMEGA president Stephen Urquhart in the South Korean capital. The cultural centre had been elaborately decorated with floral and butterfly themes – in fact, the passage leading into the building was flanked by an incredible display of more than 21,000 white flowers, each on an individual mount and illuminated from within by a tiny light. OMEGA president Stephen Urquhart welcomed invited guests and introduced Nicole Kidman, who has been an OMEGA brand ambassador since 2005. After dinner had been served, surprise guest, singer/songwriter Bastian Baker, performed an intimate concert, dedicating the final song of the evening, "I'd Sing For You", to Nicole Kidman.

The event was attended by Chatham Luxury, distributors of the Omega Brand in Sri Lanka. During an intimate press briefing the following day Ms. Kidman spoke candidly about her partnership with OMEGA, her personal style, dealing with the loss of her father, relationships and motherhood.

What would you say about your personal style and what values do you draw between Omega and yourself?

My personal style has changed, I suppose, over the years because when I was starting out it was – I mean, it was different. I remember when I first went to the Oscars and I went in a tiny little Valentino dress that was really short. Because I was so new to it all, it was an amazing dress and I still have it but it was a dress you wear when you're 22 years old and are thinking, "Wow, let's go to a party!" It just happened to be the Oscars. And then I kind of started to explore and I started to build relations with different designers. And that was how I really started my passion in terms of fashion. And I had an amazing beginning because I would go to their workshops and watch them work. I've had the chance to be educated and explore fashion through costume designers and also the designs themselves and that's extraordinary. And now, with two little girls who are really into fashion themselves, but their kind of fashion, I have to lift my game again. Cause they'll come out and they'll go, "Mh mh, not good enough." So in that way, that's kind of made me try again because I think when you are pregnant and you have your child you tend to go, "Oh, I just need things that are comfortable and easy." And I don't really want to get out of my sweat pants. And so I've been forced back into fashion through my children and rediscovered it.

And to correlate to OMEGA, I've been working with them now for ten years which really says so much about them as a company. They're exquisite as you all know. They take incredible care of you and you see that in their products. And every single time I wear one of their watches all my girlfriends are like, "Ohhhh, can you get me one?" Because they're just beautiful and I think they're very coveted now and particularly the Ladymatic and I think this (indicating the Butterfly she's wearing) will be the next thing.

What kind of watch do you like on a man and do you judge a man by his shoes or by his watch?

I primarily judge him by his heart and by his actions. Well men men can do the talk, right? But they've got to be able to show you. So shoes or a watch? Ultimately . . . I mean I saw the watch – the "Dark Side of the Moon" watch – which I think is the coolest watch out in terms of a male watch. I don't know if you guys have been privy to it but it's so cool. I thought, "Okay, there's Keith's Christmas present." Don't tell.

You said recently that you'd like to write, Nicole. Have you got any projects in mind? Do you see yourself doing a screenplay and directing at some point or writing it?

Yeah, I have two screenplays that I'm in the midst of forming. One of them is really almost finished and the other one is in the beginning sort of forms right now. For me, right now, and I get asked if I want to direct, I just don't have the time. So the writing for me is actually cathartic. It's something where I work through things I'm feeling and my way is – it's almost how I navigate my way through certain things. And I've had a very, very rough last few weeks, actually, and a lot of the way in which I express myself is through that so I write short stories; I write in my journal. I'm not just interested in doing things for the sake of them being turned into a movie. There are actually ways in which I express myself to myself and work out my life.

You're Australian but you live in America but where do you feel at home?

With my family. I'm so blessed. I have a husband and I have four children, two grown children and two little children and then I have an extended family. My sister has six children. And that's my home. So wherever in the world – we can live anywhere in the world, strangely enough. We bring a select number of blankies and pillows and candles but we can set up home pretty much everywhere. That's a great thing. I did a film at the beginning of the year in Morocco and I had my kids in Morocco living out in tents I'm so proud of that because we are international and to give my children that opportunity is important to me.

What is the most important thing to learn in life?

Right now, it would be that you never know what's going to happen so . . . carpe diem. Seize the day. And everyone tells you that and it's the hardest thing to do because we always think, "Oh, worry about the future, the past." But just given what I've gone through in the last few weeks, I think, "Oh, I must grab every moment and just live it because none of us know what's going to happen and that's devastating when you think about it but at the same time it really puts you in a place of being very, very present. And looking at everything as how precious it is and not worrying about all the things that can go on because we don't have any control. We really don't.

When you travel and you want to talk to your children, do you use Skype or WhatsApp or FaceTime or . . .

FaceTime. I have dinner with them on FaceTime. I was just making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with my daughter. I was in the kitchen on the phone. I told my husband, "She's hungry. I can tell she's hungry." I could tell she was a little tired and she wanted to go to gymnastics. I said, "She needs a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and she'll want to go to gymnastics." And I was right.

What was your greatest impression of last night at the Butterfly event?

I just think it's very magical how they managed to pull all this together, particularly over here in Korea and I always say that shows the expertise and the quality. And I think you know when people do that that their products has that behind it. And I've known all of them for a decade now and this was probably one of the greatest events that I've seen. I said, "What's going to happen to all those flowers?" They're giving them to the museum.

What kind of watch would you choose for your little daughters?

They choose it. I wish I could say I'd choose but I actually give them an enormous amount of power in the way they dress. I don't actually put any of my own sensibility onto them with that so they come down every morning and they've dressed themselves. They haven't started wearing watches yet. But if I had to choose a toy watch to start. Something that you can lose.

Shorter men are often intimidated by tall women. As a tall, beautiful woman, what advice can you give shorter men if they want to impress a taller woman?

Stand up tall and don't worry because I've always gone out with men that are shorter than me. I've never gone out with a man that's taller. But I don't judge. I won't say the line but, well, I will. Aren't we all the same height lying down? That's what many men have told me.

Jaeger LeCoultre unveils exclusive haute horlogerie collection at Chatham Luxury Boutique

Exquisite craftsmanship and grandes complications dazzle audiences

Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre, the inventors of the Vallée de Joux and reference in fine watching since the 19th century, along with Sri Lankan partner Chatham Luxury, hosted an exclusive viewing of its 2014 Collection at the Chatham Luxury Boutique at Galle Face Court recently. The collection, including its exceptional Hybris Mechanica and Haute Joaillerie creations, is available for public viewing from the 20th to the 22nd of August 2014. The impressive showcase marked the first time a collection of this nature has been on display in the country and offered audiences a rare insight into the exquisite and elaborate craftsmanship involved in haute horlogerie and grandes complications.

“Since 1833 Jaeger-LeCoultre has always pushed the boundaries of innovation whilst staying true to its rich heritage and tradition. We are thrilled to be in Sri Lanka to showcase our latest collections and reveal a snapshot into more than 181 years of history and the extensive array of our craftsmanship that takes place at ‘La Grande Maison’ under one single roof,” said Dinesh Aswani, Country Manager for Jaeger LeCoultre. As our partnership with Chatham Luxury continues to grow, we look forward to an even stronger presence in the market, he added.

Extreme Innovation

Think-tanks composed of insatiable visionaries and tireless developers: such is the very nature of the teams at Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, it enables them, to remain an authentic pioneer in the field of Grandes Complications. The Hybris Mechanica collection which features 11 watches that are true technical feats reflects the expertise and innovation of the Manufacture, and a selection of these exceptional pieces takes pride of place at this event.

A selection of Timeless Classics

During the showcase Jaeger LeCoultre presented the latest in its collections of timeless classics including the Reverso, the Rendez-Vous and the Duomètre.

Over the years, the Reverso has appeared in a number of different guises and been enriched with various unusual sizes and new horological complications – all the while remaining loyal to the spirit of the watch with two faces.
Born of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s wish to offer contemporary women a timepiece in their own image, the Rendez-Vous collection boldly proclaims its origins. It encapsulates the expertise that the Maison has developed since its founding in 1833. It enshrines a radiant femininity that time cannot alter. At once contemporary and classic, it naturally establishes itself as a loyal daily companion.

The unique technical nature and distinctive styling of the Duomètre clearly place it in the most exclusive echelons of watchmaking fine art. Its new-generation movement is based on an unprecedented concept nicknamed Dual-Wing. A genuine revolution in terms of watchmaking precision, the Dual-Wing concept is composed of two separate watch mechanisms connected by a shared regulating organ.

The 2014 Haute Joaillerie collection

The showcase in Sri Lanka also featured the latest in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Haute Joaillerie collection, which crystallises within its creations the encounter between fine watchmaking and fine jewellery, dreaming up models that become an intimate part of daily life, loyal confidantes at night and faithful companions of exceptional moments. This year, the Rendez-Vous and Reverso collections are reinventing themselves in order to further enhance their appeal while the exceptional character of complications in Master Grande Tradition and Master lines is further underscored by the exquisite diamond setting.

“We are thrilled to have one of the leading brands in the global watch industry represented in Sri Lanka by Chatham, and are keen to develop awareness of the rich history & cutting edge design of Jaeger LeCoultre,” said Siddarth Hirdaramani, Director of Chatham Luxury Watches. Having recently completed one year in operation, we are excited about the interest shown in the Sri Lankan market and we will be continuing to invest in developing this potential by expanding our retail operations in delivering the world’s best watch brands at the most competitive prices in the region, he added.

This special viewing featuring over 40 unique timepieces from one of the most inventive companies in the watch industry, is on display only for a limited time period at Chatham Luxury Watches.

La Grande Maison

Recently celebrating 180 years in watchmaking, the Jaeger LeCoultre adventure began in 1833 when self-taught watchmaker Antoine LeCoultre set up his own workshop after inventing a pinion-cutting machine. This invention was to be followed by dozens of others and hundreds of patents, each of which contributed to forging the international reputation of Swiss watchmaking. The small workshops grew so fast that it was soon nicknamed the “Grande Maison” in the Vallée de Joux.

In 1903, the Paris-based watchmaker to the French Navy, Edmond Jaeger, challenged Swiss manufacturers to develop and produce the ultra-thin movements that he had invented. Jacques-David LeCoultre, the founder’s grandson, decided to take up the gauntlet. His ensuing cooperation and friendship with Edmond Jaeger was to give rise to one of the world’s most extraordinary collections of ultra-thin watches, including the thinnest in the world, equipped with LeCoultre Calibre 145 (1.38 mm thick). These were soon followed by pioneering work in the field of wristwatches, and subsequently by the birth of the Jaeger- LeCoultre brand.

During the course of its history, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created and produced over 1,200 different calibres and filed more than 400 patents. The Grande Maison has a number of world firsts to its credit, along with superlative achievements and legendary watches such as the Reverso, the Duoplan, the Memovox, the Polaris, the Gyrotourbillon 1 and 2, the Duomètre line, as well as the perpetual Atmos clock.

Chopard: Jeweller to Diana the Movie

Between Chopard and cinema, there blooms a romance worthy of the big screen’s most beautiful love stories. Year after year, grand events and promising encounters continue to enrich Chopard’s magnificent array of partnerships. Today, this unique relationship has been given a new brilliance, because the Geneva-based jeweller is embarking on a new and exclusive collaboration: Chopard has worked with a Costume Designer to select jewellery for Naomi Watts in the much-anticipated film ‘Diana’, about the late Princess of Wales, which opens in cinemas in September and is produced by Award winning British company Ecosse Films.

For many years, Chopard, the jeweller of choice for the stars of the red carpet, has been passionately involved in the world of cinema. As well as participating in major international events such as the Cannes Film Festival, where it is an official partner and for which it created the Palme d’Or, the Swiss jeweller also unearths young talent through the Chopard Trophy, an award that shines the spotlight on the stars of tomorrow. Chopard will shirk no challenge to feed its love of cinema. No surprise, then, that the Geneva-based firm has fulfilled the mission it received from the team of the film Diana, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, with talent and passion: to select pieces from its collections that Diana might have chosen to wear.

Although Chopard has already been involved in numerous feature films, such as ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age’ (Shekhar Kapur), ‘Nine’ (Rob Marshall) and ‘Midnight in Paris’ (Woody Allen), the stakes here were particularly high, because not only did the jeweller have to provide a realistic insight into Diana’s extraordinary jewellery collection, but also to remind the world of her legendary elegance with discretion, charm and a modern touch.

Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele reveals that she worked closely with Julian Day, the film’s Costume Designer and that he had very specific requests. “When I received the offer to work on the film Diana I was thrilled because, to me, she was a person blessed with extraordinary charisma and great elegance, both in her personality and her style. After having worked on the film Nine in 2009, this new partnership was exciting, even more so because Naomi Watts is a fantastic actress.”

Chopard was also the partner of the World Premiere of Diana at London’s Leicester square. Naomi Watts walked the red carpet glistening in Chopard jewels: the actress selected a unique pair of feather shaped earrings from the Haute Joaillerie collection featuring two sapphires of 7 cts each and diamonds, as well as a bracelet featuring fancy-cut diamonds. In the final version of the film, a selection of Chopard watches, jewellery and bags appear on screen, including several watches and items of jewellery from the Happy Diamonds collections, but also High Jewellery creations that demonstrate Chopard’s extensive expertise in this field. Chatham Luxury makes this expertise available to Sri Lankan shoppers exclusively at their flagship store located at Galle Face Court.

The Swiss company has managed to put together an extremely coherent collection that matches the status and personality of the Princess of Wales perfectly. Julian Day says: “From the first reading of the Diana script, I realised that I was going to need magnificent jewellery. When the opportunity arose to work with Chopard, I knew that this was going to be possible. Their help has been invaluable.” Diana particularly liked wearing earrings because they suited her haircut; she often wore them without any other jewellery. Among the most iconic is a pair made from oval sapphires set with diamonds, echoing the earrings that matched her famous engagement ring. An expert mixture of glamour, simplicity and romanticism, the pieces reflect Diana’s style wonderfully. The Swiss jeweller could not have dreamt of a more gracious and mythical model as its inspiration. Years after those tragic events in Paris, the magic of cinema and the talent of designers like Chopard, are ensuring she is remembered as the caring and stylish woman she was.

OMEGA launches contemporary classic to honour Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games

Recalling a timepiece originally produced for a prominent Russian leader in 1915 and borrowing from the unique style of a wristwatch in OMEGA's Museum Collection, the OMEGA Sochi Petrograd is a tribute to the host country of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and a reintroduction of a timeless design that is as distinctive today as it was nearly a century ago.

The "Tonneau" shape of the polished 18K yellow gold case is one of the most fascinating design features of this timepiece and brings back a favoured style from an earlier era. The case is presented on a striking burgundy leather strap complete with an 18K yellow gold buckle.

The silvery-white dial incorporates the bold red, white and blue colours of the Russian flag with its red 24-hour track on a polished minute track with central hour and minute hands fashioned from blued steel. The black sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position has a blued steel seconds hand and matches the black 12-hour track.

Another striking feature is the 18K yellow gold caseback engraved with the logo of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the limited edition number. Only 100 models of the Sochi Petrograd will be produced.

Powering this commemorative timepiece is OMEGA's exclusive calibre 2202 with a Co-Axial escapement and special luxury finish. Presented in a special watch box, the OMEGA Sochi Petrograd is offered with a three-year warranty and is water resistant to 3 bar (30 metres / 100 feet).

Chopard renews its partnership with the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique

Chopard, Official Timekeeper since 2002 for the biennial Grand Prix de Monaco Historique announces the renewal of its agreement for three new editions meaning through to 2018.

Geneva, April 30th 2013 - The story of Chopard and the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique (GPMH) is a the tale of a meeting between two worlds with converging values: beautiful traditional watchmaking and classic cars.

An impressive retrospective

Organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM), the GPMH is an impressive historical retrospective of Monaco’s famous car race. Every two years, more than 200 drivers from 19 different countries line up at the start line with exceptional Grand Prix racing cars from between 1947 and 1978, competing in one of the seven categories listed by the organisation. This event is unquestionably the most popular of all classic car races, attracting collectors from all over the world to compete in a fiercely contested series.

Chopard and classic cars

The partnership between the Geneva-based company and GPMH is strongly linked to the passion that unites the Scheufele family with the world of classic cars. Already in 1988, Karl and his son, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, both unconditional devotees, committed the family brand to the Mille Miglia, a car race that criss-crosses through Italy from Brescia to Rome and back.

Since 2002, Chopard has been supporting the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique as its official timekeeper. For every GPMH, Chopard creates a limited edition of an eponymous watch, featuring a design inspired by the automobile world. These models are equipped with COSC-certified movements and, like the racing cars competing in the GPMH, offer a concentrated blend of technicality and sleek design.

From May 9th to 11th 2014, for the seventh time in a row, Chopard will thus once again proudly serve as official timekeeper for this prestigious Monaco event.

The Chopard brand is available in Sri Lanka at Chatham, the country's premier luxury watch store, located at No. 41 Galle Face Court 1, Galle Road, Colombo 03.
